VCI was more than just an institute for me – it was the launchpad for my future. I joined the small business and financial literacy program with a simple idea of starting a local food delivery service. The lecturers and mentors at VCI taught me how to create a solid business plan, manage finances, and market my services digitally.
Through the entrepreneurship incubation hub, I gained access to investors and mentors who guided me every step of the way. Today, my business employs six young people from my community, and we’ve even expanded into event catering. VCI not only gave me entrepreneurial skills but also a sense of purpose – the ability to create jobs, inspire others, and build a sustainable livelihood. It truly changed the trajectory of my life.
When I first enrolled at Vita Cura Institute, I had a passion for caregiving but lacked professional training. The nursing assistant and elderly care program transformed my life. The simulation labs, practical training, and compassionate instructors prepared me not only with technical skills but also with empathy and confidence.
Within months of graduation, VCI’s job placement team connected me with a hospital in Douala, and later, I was able to secure an opportunity abroad through their international partnership program. Today, I work in Canada as a certified caregiver, and I owe it all to VCI’s vision of blending skills with humanity. My dream of supporting my family and giving back to my community has become a reality.
I always loved working with my hands, but I didn’t have access to professional training. Enrolling at VCI’s carpentry and solar installation program was the best decision I’ve ever made. The workshops were practical, the equipment was modern, and the trainers pushed us to apply our knowledge to real projects.
What made the experience unique was VCI’s forward-thinking approach – we weren’t just taught carpentry, but also sustainable practices through the Green Economy program. Today, I design and install eco-friendly furniture and solar-powered systems in my community. With the help of VCI’s alumni network, I recently secured a contract with a construction company in Yaoundé. VCI gave me more than skills – it gave me a career, confidence, and the chance to contribute to a greener Cameroon.
